Mexico To Became Very Popular

Possessing marijuana, cocaine and even heroin will no longer be a crime in Mexico if they are in small amounts for personal use under new reforms passed by Congress that quickly drew U.S. criticism.

Hypocrites here had to say.

The legislation came as a shock to Washington, which counts on Mexico's support in its war against drug smuggling gangs who move massive quantities of cocaine, heroin, marijuana and methamphetamines through Mexico to U.S. consumers.

"I would say any law that decriminalizes dangerous drugs is not very helpful," said Judith Bryan, spokeswoman for the U.S. Embassy in Mexico City. "Drugs are dangerous. We don't think it is the appropriate way to go."

The Life And Times JHC

WWJD about a movie based on what people thought of his life?

Ya know I got an idea for a movie too. My movie will be about the time in the life of jesus between when he was 12 to 29. Some say he traveled east as far as Edo(idoh). I do too.

My movie will most likely not be a movie but will be more of a short animtation no, a couple drawings yeah. And it'll cover jesus's struggle with learning new miricle techniques while facing many fights with demons and alien invaders. Like the time the gate to the underworld had opened. And at first the people thought he himself was a demon but later ask his help in closing it.

Or the one about where he takes on a whole army of mercenary killers. Whos leader was a mad man bent on rulling the world and had alot of it in their grips.

My little cartoon will draw any ire from the Vatican unlike Da Vinci Code is now.

As it is, Monsignor Angelo Amato, the number two official in the Vatican's powerful doctrinal office, has urged Catholics everywhere to boycott the upcoming Tom Hanks film on the basis that it patently "offended" the Christian faith.

Amato called Dan Brown's blockbuster novel "stridently anti-Christian...full of calumnies, offences and historical and theological errors regarding Jesus, the Gospels and the Church.

"I hope that you all will boycott the film," he said, according to the ANSA news agency.

Amato dispensed the protest plan while addressing a Catholic conference at Rome's Santa Croce University. He went on to say that Church followers should be more willing "to reject lies and gratuitous defamation," and credited the book's enormous success--it has sold more than 40 million copies since its 2003 release--with "the extreme cultural poverty on the part of a good number of the Christian faithful."

Glad I wont be dealing with any of this.

Sea Cockroach Saved

Ah, the little critters of nature they don't know that they're tasty. Why do people in general not just vegeie folk have a such a tough time with despatching Lobsters?

ROME (Reuters) - An Italian restaurant was fined 688 euros ($855) for displaying live lobsters on ice to attract patrons, in an innovative application of an anti-cruelty law usually affecting to household pets.

A court in the northeastern city of Vicenza ruled the display was a form of abuse dooming the crustaceans to a slow death by suffocation.

In Chicago the city counsel just got rid of foie gras.

I heard so much crap about should be in english only. I guess nobody paid any attention to the word changes.

Don't see anything wrong with being in spanish. But as a fan of Anime I can't stand when things get changed because somebody thinks there making it more acceptable for a wider audience grr.

Admiral Fisher in The Study With A Dreadnought

I think this is pretty cool. Even though I don't care for the whole Da Vinci code hype'. But secret codes are cool and I bet High Court Justice Peter Smith's coded judgement would make Rumpole laugh so hard he'd spill his claret. Don't know if She Who Must Be Obeyed would though.

The judge's own code briefly caused a wave of amused speculation when it was discovered by a lawyer this week, nearly a month after the ruling was handed down.

It has got to feel real nice if you are the one who lost the case. Everybody is having a fun time and all you got is some legal fees...

He said that he is not normally much of a fan of puzzles, such as the Japanese number puzzles that have become an obsession of the British press.

"The preparation of the Code took about 40 minutes and its insertion another 40 minutes or so," he wrote. "I hate crosswords and do not do Sudoku as I do not have the patience."

But see, it don't say in this story but I heard he gave out his email addy. I think he going to get challenged for while now.

Is It Still Mtvees Fault?

Having sex vs. having sex without making a baby the systemic problem of "unwantded" pregnancy can't be fixed like this.

In the memo released by the FDA during the discovery process, Dr. Curtis Rosebraugh, an agency medical officer, wrote: "As an example, she stated that we could not anticipate, or prevent extreme promiscuous behaviors such as the medication taking on an 'urban legend' status that would lead adolescents to form sex-based cults centered around the use of Plan B."
[...]
Conservative groups contend Plan B causes abortions and have lobbied against non-prescription sales. The manufacturer, Barr Laboratories of Pomona, N.Y., says it simply prevents pregnancy.

The FDA rejected Barr's application for Plan B non-prescription sales in May 2004. On May 6, 2004, Galson, now head of the FDA drug center, wrote in a memo: "Some staff have expressed the concern that this decision is based on non-medical implications of teen sexual behavior, or judgments about the propriety of this activity. These issues are beyond the scope of our drug approval process, and I have not considered them in this decision."

Science Takes The Fun Out Food

If it ain't low fat processed cheese its well low fat anything. Now they have figured out a way to knock the poot out of beans.

They identified two bacteria, Lactobacillus casei and Lactobacillus plantarum, which can be added to beans so they cause minimal distress to those who eat them, and to those around the bean-lovers, Marisela Granito of Simon Bolivar University in Caracas, Venezuela and colleagues reported.

I predict the world will start to put on more wieght as a result. Why? Well you eat the beans, the gas builds up in your tummy, you feel full. And then when you start the audio session later. You might feel like you have room to eat more but. Who can think about food right now -- excuse me while open a window please.

"Legumes, and particularly Phaseolus vulgaris, are an important source of nutrients, especially in developing countries," Granito's team wrote in the report.

Ah yes the devoloping world again. Realy got to get the to cut down on all those green house gasses. LINK

Lost Creator to Make Bad Fansub'

Another retread of the Star Trek "franchise"

A new big-screen movie, apparently featuring the early adventures of Trek forefathers James T. Kirk and Spock, and boasting the handiwork of Lost creator J.J. Abrams, is being primed for a 2008 release.

Ok here is the story. Epsodes of the original series and Mission Impossible. What you didn't know that's where the grab the guy make hime think a long period of time had passed to get 'em to give up some information bit came from? Anyway throw in for no reason other than lack of any brain power stuff from series that are set in times way after this one.

Like STEnterprise. Way more Safisticated ship than the series it was set to be before. And instead coming up with stories that delt with what we are going through right now in fanciful ways... The international space station for one. You instead had the borg sigh.

And a alot of despite however many hours of training and skill. Ship gets blown apart. And some undecisive end to some battles. Star Trek became a self made cliche. Instead making episodes with good stories you get that business nonsense where you assume that people don't like something unless you fix it up for them. Or should I say they feel that only a small number of people like something but the general populus ain't with ya.

So they take what's there and water it down so as to make it more acceptable to a wider audience. Never stoping to think that if they ever just advertised it or made sure that alot of people had access to it. And didn't try and sell it as a show with a small following.

In other words they created this idea of an exclusive club. And two things come out of that. One People who don't know of the show stay away. Two people who are familiar with the show go Oh here we go again another bad Star Trek retread.

The End Of the Internet Is Near

Soon it will all be in the hands of the people who live several decades behind the times and bring you such lame ideas as tv shows on the internet, rather than coming with new and diferent shows. Or stuff that just rocks DigitalLife/CrankyGeeks for example.

Ways to control this video is a good example of how.

Thanks to the rubber stamp congress and the belief that big business is always better in control. LINK. Dramatic name but I must cause HERE!

Little Scotty McClellan lost out in the game of musical chairs. The media as would be expected miss the fact that was nobody to replace right away. Or the fact musical chairs is a game that this admin' should not be playing. And these idiots should not be playing along home.

Windows Vista Will A Monster

You're gonna need a gaming system just to do email. I just have to say that I think vista will be the most system hoggin bloated piece of crap operating system ever. LINK

But the bright is bits and system stuff that handle what I want to do will be getting cheaper. Oh but don't too long though. When prices go too low things end up going bye-bye.

Jeesh, I wonder what you'd need to play games on vista...

And after a check turns out you maybe covered over at VooDoo. If you get the $6000 and later get vista tell me about the cool transperent windows.

DOH! I forgot that Dell bought Alienware.

It Was Allways On My mind

I knew one day it would happen. Everytime I heard of movies being made avialable on another teeny tiny little divice. I kept thinking about how back when VHS became the rage. And home video sales/rentals were stalled because they had to work out deals so that everybody got paid for their work.

And now it seems that little naggin thought that they didn't work out a new deal or use the old one has some base. LINK

Riddle Me This

If you bought a mulching lawm mower. Would you for some reason use the old non-mulching mower to cut not the lawn but the surounding area of your property and bag it in those paper lawn waste bags???

And get this you don't touch the front and back yard. If you think this is odd please call my fathers cell at 555-555-jerk. Thank You

The Big Guy

Ok Talk About Crazy and Conincidence

I was reading Talking Points Memo. Saw a post about avoiding mentioning George Ryan is a rebulican.

I go look at the article and title is The Governor Goes Down. But they did toss in this

"and the current administration of Democrat Rod Blagojevich is also being investigated"

Umm, I think its people in our state house that have been around for a while that are under investigation. And we have had a Dem for governor for how long?

Former Gov. George Ryan Goes Down

Just had to say something here about the culture of corruption. As on wttw they had some folks on there that left me thinking that they did not realy get why he got convicted.

And that now, you can be convicted of harmful and or unethical behavior. And the days of giving to a persons campaign for something in return being numbered. It must just be me but I coulda swore that the way it was said, it was like was a bad thing.
